Super Saturday - October 2008
The morning
The afternoon draws on
The end of the day

The 18th October 2008 saw the first of our Super Saturdays.

The idea of a Super Saturday is to take a fairly large task and to focus all efforts on that one task with the aim of completing it in a double length day. The first challenge tackled in this way was to remove the many years of vegetation and roots from foundation slab that was once home to the waiting rooms and ladies toilets.

The photographs below show the state of play as we grabbed our tools and prepared to tackle the challenge, along with our progress throughout the day.

The state of the area at the start of the day, there really is solid ground under there somewhere.

The far south end of the slab was the location of the ladies toilets. The remaining deeply coloured floor tiles peak temptingly out from under the years of weeds, briars and small(ish) trees.
