Prime Minister Visits PWRS

With an election on the horizon, Friday 15th November 2019 saw the Prime Minister, the Right Honourable Boris Johnson MP visit the PWRS team at Thornton Station.

His visit was part of the launch of a planned £500m national fund to restore historic closed railway lines.

Whilst there with the PWRS team, Mr Johnson saw first hand the progress already made to revive the route and has pledged to make £100,000 available for a feasibility study on the future of the Fleetwood to Poulton railway corridor.
