Membership

Please support the railway and become a member of the Poulton & Wyre Railway Society. Our object is to re-open the line from Poulton to Fleetwood for passenger and heritage trains.

We already have a Fowler shunter under refurbishment and very nearly ready for operating on the line, along with a DMU under restoration, which we intend to use for a passenger service in the near future.

Benefits

Once you have joined us you can, if you wish, become a working volunteer and attend the sessions on a Saturday morning and a Wednesday morning, helping fellow volunteers to carry out the many tasks associated with clearing the line ready for trains to run.

The benefits of being a member are the opportunity to work alongside like-minded men and women, making new friends, learning new skills, out in the fresh air and keeping fit.

We also publish a magazine "On Track" free to members.
