Open Day 20th August, 2023

The Poulton & Wyre Railway Society are running an open day on Sunday, the 20th of August 2023 specifically for members. This is our third enactment of the event.

Why not reserve the date in your diary and see what we have achieved since last year?

The main venue is at our NPL workshops and security requires the names and car registration of those wishing to attend. Guests are welcome at a day membership of £5 payable on the day.

What's On?

Whether you've been before or not, our Open Day is well worth the visit:

  • Have a look around the rolling stock and chat with the volunteers involved in their restoration.
  • The workshops and facilities on site have evolved over the last twelve months and you are welcome to investigate.
  • Browse through the library and grab some refreshment from our Alfresco Cafe.
  • Get the latest information about the reopening of the line.
  • See the great work done at Jameson Road, including a ride on the Geismar trolley.
  • You can also visit Burn Naze Station which is not accessible to the public.

The event runs from 9am to 3pm at the NPL workshops and 10am to 1pm at the station sites. Turn up to the NPL site first, there is adequate parking and we can get you to the other sites either by foot, your own car or our taxi service.
